Introduction to Site Improvement through Monitoring System (SIMS)

SIMS is a quality assurance methodology used to increase the impact of PEPFAR programs on the HIV epidemic through standardized monitoring of the quality of services at the site, which is a PEPFAR-wide requirement for all Operating Units (OUs). SIMS is used to assess quality performance against international and national standards, and SIMS scores are used to identify service areas that are meeting standards or need remediation.
